Juyondai, Aramasa, Jikon: A Spring Sake Fair Where You Can Taste Them All, Through March

"Nihonshu Genka Sakagura," a chain of sake bars known for selling sake at near-wholesale prices, is running a "Spring Sake Fair" at four Tokyo locations and one in Omiya through the end of March. The fair features multiple plans built around rare, hard-to-find labels like Juyondai, Aramasa, and Jikon. Announced by Billion Foods via PR TIMES.

There are six plans in total, each exclusive to a specific location. Here are the highlights.

Jikon 9-Variety Tasting (Omiya, ¥7,700)

The Omiya location offers a course comparing nine varieties of Jikon, lined up by rice type: Nigoризаке Nama, Senbon Nishiki, Hattan Nishiki, Omachi, Aizan, Sake Mirai, Asahi, Yamada Nishiki, and Hakutsuru Nishiki. Each pour is 50ml. The plan includes an eight-dish course and 120-minute all-you-can-drink for ¥7,700. Limited to 36 guests, first come first served.

Having nine Jikon varieties side by side, sorted by rice variety — that doesn't happen often.

Aramasa 6-Variety Tasting (Shinjuku, ¥4,800)

At the Shinjuku flagship, six Aramasa varieties are served from the No.6, Colors, and PRIVATE LAB lines, each a random spec. 40ml pours, with 120-minute all-you-can-drink. Also limited to 36 guests.

Juyondai + All-You-Can-Drink (Ikebukuro & Shibuya, ¥3,600)

Ikebukuro and Shibuya locations offer a 120-minute all-you-can-drink plan that includes a 50ml pour of Juyondai for ¥3,600. Ikebukuro serves Kaku-Shin Honmaru; Shibuya serves Honmaru. The all-you-can-drink menu covers over 60 varieties including Senkin, Toyo Bijin, Sharaku, Houou Biden, Dassai, Akabu, Kokuryu, and Nabeshima.

Other Plans

The Shinjuku flagship also offers a five-variety tasting of Juyondai, Denshu, Jikon, Hiroki, and Aramasa (¥3,280), and a Juyondai three-variety tasting (Banshu Yamada Nishiki, Banshu Aizan, Akaiwa Omachi) with an eight-dish course (¥4,800).

The Jimbocho location runs a four-day "Rare Sake Festival" from March 28–31, with bottles available by the glass: Juyondai Ryū no Otoshigo (¥1,120/100ml), Hanabi Yoku (¥650), Jikon (¥450), and more.

All plans require app membership, though you can download the app on the day. Reservations are accepted via web, LINE, or phone. All plans are 120 minutes. Cancel by the day before.

Through March. If any of these plans catch your eye, don't wait too long.
